Existe uma linha que divide as habitacoes ao meio, sendo uma metade pertencente a Turquia, e a outra e independente.

I guess, this sentence says "There exists a line that divides the island in the middle. One under Turkey's rule, and the other one is independent". Am I right?

It is in Portuguese, so...

...so nobody in here will understand anything. Except if he tries really hard ... like garbitsch

Hey, although I cannot speak Portuguese, I still get some meanings :) After all, Portuguese is a Roman language and it's so close to Spanish, Italian, French and even English ;)

so you are saying that you made the translation without using any dictionary? Do you speak any other Latin language apart from English?

Babal Fish throws this up:-

"As some must know, the Nicosia and finish it capital of the world to be divided. A line that divides habitacoes to the way, being a pertaining half Turkey, and to another one and independent exists. One seems a field of war and to another one, where I am, and more or less civilized! Tou to play, nao and thus tao exaggerated, but la that sao different, sao! Nowadays the things estao (more or less) calm between the two sides, but remain some marks of serios conflicts to some years. Here they are some photos:"

Perhaps not quite as I would have put it...

Portuguese uses signs that the keyboards here don't have. So all my texts have a lot of errors in portuguese. But its understandable.

garbitsch, youre translation is almost there. But when i say "habitacoes" i mean houses, not the country. But its the same idea!
