The Turks have what seems like an excellent hockey stadium.
We'd never dream of possessing anything like that here.... ever.

We Cyps are still living in the dark ages.
No national team, no stadiums.

Aren't you asking for too much from a small country which sees ice only on TV? I mean lets be realistic. Shouldn't we worry more about the very low level of our basket ball, for instance? And swimming being an island nation?
BTW. I didn't even know that Greece had a hokey team.

Greece had an awesome team, the government f**ked them big time.
Promised them a decent facility, a PRE existing stadium from the Olympic Games that was just left to rot.
The team had to travel to Czech republic with their own money for practice.
it's a long story marred with political injustice, i don't even want to get into it.

If you're interested, read the history.
I take my hat off for these boys.

Not at all.
So long as we have a Cyprus Ice Skating Federation, there is no excuse.
One decent facility for the whole island is all we ask.

Amazing but not surprising. Apparently, some ruts who wanted but did not manage to put the team under their control (and make money out of it) are trying to kill it so as to prove that only them are able to ... save it and promote it.

So why do you care what Greeks have qualified for any more than what Turkey has qualified for? :?

Are you one of those Spartan queers by any chance? :?

Don't you know your countrymen worship the Greeks GR?
A way to a Cypriots heart is through Greece.
It was a long shot I know, but the only one available.
