LPG or any other fuel should be favoured only if it can be produced from CY sources.

But seriously, have you seen a typical solar-powered car?
Imagine how big the panel area would have to be to power the car during the day (while carrying a huge set of batteries) and charge those same batteries for use at night...

You don't have to produce the electricity wthin the car though.
Water can be converted to hydrogen via solar-powered electrolysis, and then hydrogen can be used in cars.
