Turkey's inflation rises above expectations.

“March figures indicate rising risks of inflation surges,” Ali Çakıroğlu, HSBC portfolio strategist, told Anatolia news agency. Economists blame rising food prices for the increase in inflation and expect the prices to continue their surging trend.

Doom and gloom merchants are out in force again, for people that have trashed their own economy it a bit much and has no credibility to what they have been claiming for years now, hoping and praying that one day their wishes will come true.

Syria's economy and trade ministry plans to set up an office tasked with overseeing a boycott of Turkish industry, which has contributed to "sabotaging the national economy" an official said Thursday.

"Those factories that have contributed to sabotaging Syria's national economy and looting factories in Aleppo and its province... do not deserve to be dealt with as legal entities," Deputy Minister of Economy Abdel Salam Ali told AFP.
