the two biggest(local) banks are "bank of cyprus" and "laiki".they have a lot of branch offices.my parents have their acounts at laiki
for mobile phone providers ,there are two: "cyta" and "areeba". i think cyta is better.
as for internet providers i think there are a lot.....otenet,spidernet,cyta etc....i have a connection with cyta, not the best but its ok

banks: Bank of Cyprus, Popular (Laiki) Bank, Hellenic Bank, Alpha Bank. All of them are about the same. Choose the one that offers a package closer to your needs. mobile operator: Cyta. ISP: Otenet.

Thank you,
I'll look for detail information about bank's product. I need e-banking, I think Bank of Cyprus and Laiki offers that.

The plugs look like this:

They are the same like the UK, and the voltage is the same also. I think all Europe has the same voltage. You will just need to change the plug or get one of those 1 pound things that will "modify" your plugs.

Thank you Sotos.
I'll try to buy the "modify" thing in Czech Rep., but I am afraid it will be difficult to find it in any shop. Or I will hope to buy it in Cypus.

We have many of those things in Cyprus. Maybe the best way is to simply change the plug though. It is very easy.
