I was listening to a programme on channel 6 (Kanalli 6) about this topic on my way to work today.
A woman said that her child was having nightmares that the uniform would is abolished and she doesn't have as many clothes to change every day because they are poor.

Personally I feel that this is the most important pro-uniform argument.

I remember while I was studying in the US, the female students could be divided into 2 groups: One group with those that would go to class wearing jeans and a t-shirt, or something else very simple (e.g. north americans) and the ones that would dress up to go to class (e.g. Latin Americans).

If Cypriots belong in the first category, then it will not be an issue. But if they belong to the second category then I think it will create complexes to the girls that will not be able to "compete" with the others.
