Revenge will be sweet!

Spot on Paphitis.
I have always believed that the worst specimen of a human being is the rich Greek or Cypriot.

Showoffs, uncaring, uncharitable and above all utterly untrustworthy.

If anyone has seen the movie "Little Drummer Girl", there's a scene where Israelis are annihilating a Palestinian village on the West Bank, men, women, kids being torn to pieces. Simultaneously another scene depicts an elderly Palestinian couple in Paris fixing themselves up to go out on the town, while the women puts on her jewels and elegant dress, her husband is on the phone with a member of the UN condemning Israels attacks....Lipservicing peasants is what Cypriots have been slowly transformed into...

This case is essentially a civil not a criminal matter where the arrest is not immediately connected with the dispute, for which Mr Orphanides cannot be arrested, but the arrest is probably more in the nature of contempt of court for not turning up.

Acording to local press eg Cyprus Weakly, Cyprus Snail and Farmer Gusto's Gazette, it is civil dispute launched by a local business man for recovery of money.

This is not a criminal case following police enquiries and a decision to prosecute by the AG.
