If cricket was half interesting it would have spread in Europe, instead you will find cricket tested in the likes of Asia and of course England and its lost empire.

The game is full of anomalies, scores running into hundreds, stupid names such as ashes and ...test series. Who discovered this boring game ??

Most games enjoyed the world over last but a few hours, but like Eastenders and Coronation street cricket lasts for ...years.

That's because you absolutely know nothing about the game and are too lazy to find out the historical significance of this game, the multiple battles that occur that go way beyond just kicking a ball around.

There are no anomalies at all, but a Titanic struggle that is unequaled or unmatched by other sports.

I grew up with this game, and I feel privileged and lucky that as a Cypriot I was exposed to the games greatness.

Stick to your Eastenders and Coronation Street!

As far as motor racing is concerned, I prefer the V8 supercars.

It's ok you don't like it but don't pretend you know anything about the sport abd have therefore made and informed judgement. You have seen parts of a passage of play where nightwatchmen batsmen are in playing defensive to string the game out to a draw.

Fact is, Cricket is the most exciting game when its all fireworks and mad flays to belt the cherry out of the park. There is nothing like it.

Paphitis,

I don't pretend to know anything about cricket!

My eldest son LOVES playing cricket for a local team, when I was younger I sat with an ex doing the scores(or whatever they call it) I've TRIED to 'get it' and attempt to like it

Sadly, I just can't and I find it boring. Sorry! :(

I wonder why is it that cricket being such a wonderful...test, it has not spread to less boring places and has remained firmly in Pakistan, Bangladesh and a few ex British colonies.

What exactly are the highlights ? He throws the ball and someone tries to hit it with a stick. No excitement, no finesse just pure unadulterated boredom.

I'm not a football fan, but I do watch the big international games, football is the king of all games, sadly I do not find it as exciting as opening and pouring a glass of Claret

By the way, Im cooking a turkey today and must admit watching it in the oven is as exciting as watching someone throwing a ball

I'm gonna give you a brief lesson but you better watch all of it because I don't like to waste my time.

There is no other game that provides as much suspense, danger, emotional roller coaster, and drama!

And it is a game founded on strict codes of conduct and moral conduct apart from what occurred in the 30s which was nothing short of war!
