Shopping for PCs & DVD players/recorders

Postby BerkshireScouse » Mon Nov 28, 2005 3:13 pm

Hello

Can anyone recommend any retailers in the Limassol area for DVD players & recorders, and PCs and associated accessories, for range of items available, value for money, and after sales service?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Computerland on Ayias Phylaxeos has the biggest range of items at OK prices.

However some of the people there are not the most polite.

Some time ago I got some very good prices from Wisdom, on the same street, but they don't sell the amount of items that computerland has.

demevacomputers.com seems to have good range and good prices. I might buy something from them soon and I will let you know of my experience with them.

Agreed!

The older guy (the owner I think) is okay – the young guy has a bit of an attitude problem!

Good range of products and reasonable pricing too.

Yes. This is what I had in mind.

That guy seems like he is making you a favor for selling you something.

I’m off there this morning to buy some stuff – I hope he hasn’t read this!

Yes.. sorry for the delay,

What I meant by multi region players is.. DVD players that play DVDs set for different regions. Asia, US, Europe etc..

Region Countries
0 No Region Coding
1 United States of America, Canada
2 Europe, including France, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Arabia, Japan and South Africa
3 Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Borneo and Indonesia
4 Australia and New Zealand, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America
5 India, Africa, Russia and former USSR countries
6 Peoples Republic of China
7 Unused
8 Airlines/Cruise Ships
9 Expansion (often used as region free)

It's frustrating when their are DVd's from various places around the house and we can't watch them all.
