jobs in south east of the island...?

Postby pumpernickle » Tue Nov 29, 2005 6:54 pm

hello

I'm v keen to find work (not majorly fussed, although I do wish to swerve clear of anything involving a kitchen) around the paralimni, ayia nap, protaras areas...

would anyone have any pointers or suggestions?

I sound fussy I agree, but it would need to be morning work

as an aside, i am quite startled at the sparcity within the jobs pages out here. Virtually no jobs going. Cripes Jeeves!

What kind of job are you looking for? Ayia Napa and Protaras tourist industry is closed for the winter. Except if you want to work at a farm or something at a village around that area.

sure, id be quite interested in fruit picking or some kind of manual labour if that is what is available in the 'red villages' around there.

it's tricky, the area seems to be somewhat devoid of industry outside of tourism and agriculture (no surprise of course) and my poor greek is a handicap.

but i plough on regardless...

The wages for such unskilled manual labor are very low. Are you sure that you would want to do such thing?
