Thugs calling themselves "police" interrupted a church service at the Maronite Church of St Anthony's in Occupied Famagusta earlier today, forcing the service to come to an early finish.

The church leaders and congregation were refused "permission" to conclude the last ten minutes of their service.

To be fair, two more things have come to light on this item...

The Mufti of the Occupied Areas intervened to get the "police" to back off and allow the service to run its course. He failed in his efforts.

The local "district council" had put up canopies and provided chairs for the comfort of the congregation.

( Some people up there aren't singing from the same hymn-sheet. )

You know, the kind of thing VP and others accuse the RoC of, but have no proof. Hypocrites.

Have to remind you that I said I would like the option not to have Greek spoken around my children, thats one of the reasons why I moved from the UK to reside in the TRNC.

It maybe closed or being restored or being used for another event. Or even used for revenge in response to being excluded from EU elections for example.

"God's House" is only for those who are devoted to God to pray and has nothing to do with politics, revenge, EU elections and so on, except in Racist & Fascistic Institutions. Can't make it any simpler than that to you to understand and since you do not condemn such acts, then you must believe in that Racist & Fascist Institution in the north.

You don't need to remind me anything, because my memory is very sharp in what you wrote.

You should have taken your children to Turkey instead, since ONLY Turkish is spoken there. :roll:
