Apoel should travel out to the Diaspora

So how about it DT?

Why not send Apoel over to Sydney or Melbourne to prepare for its season?

Manchester and Liverpool will be there in the off season. Plus, they can get some good games in with teams like Sydney FC, Western Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City. Much better than playing a lowly Cypriot team to warm up. You will come up against players such as Villa and Del Piero. Probably Cahill as well.

Plus, you would make thousands of Cypriot expats very happy and they will come out to support Apoel. Sydney has 150,000 Cypriots.

Apoel should venture out a bit. They will get a few games I am sure.

And hopefully you will win, but you will get some tough games.

Oh, and if Apoel have players that impress, then they could get signed by one of these teams.

Just imagine the progression. Apoel to Melbourne City to Manchester City.

Manchester coaching and staff are always there looking at the players.

If you time it right, you might get a game against Manchester City and Liverpool.

Yes, but you should also go to places like New York, London and Sydney and get in touch with the Diaspora in those countries. They are part of your supporter base as well.

Also, it would help if you played other teams and you probably would have got games with Liverpool and Manchester City.

It's a good idea, we got asked by the Roma/Liverpool owners out of Boston to play a couple of games over there, the only problem we have is that we start our Champions League games from the 3rd qualifying round which means a summer start to our season. Doesn't leave a lot of time for prep and friendlies at the training base if you factor in 14 days holiday for the players at the end of our season. Still a very good idea if it can be scheduled.

No doubt so they can practise against your World Ranking #536 Brisbane Roar FC?

I’m sure resistance would be very stiff for APOEL!

Ask the Germans and Borussia Dortmund who own the club.

The Germans probably use them as guinea pigs. :D
