a chevy chase double?...

ok but not really my cup of tea as I like more of heavy instrumental songs...

Which Cypriot band or musicians make that type of music... let us taste your type of music by posting one or two here...

I like multi dimensional music as a far as taste , thus very hard for me to think of any ethnic songs that are multi dimensional...usually ethnic songs lack dimension and the way they are recorded are in a 2 dimension...

There is not much Cypriot Music I like. A popular Cypriot Artist is Anna Vissi, but it's not my taste bar a couple of good songs such as Treno.

However, Greek Music is VERY GOOD. Many great Artists which I like on par with anything on offer in the English world. Artists like Helena Paparizou, Katy Garbi, Despina Bandi, Petrelis, Sfakianakis, Kokkinou, Haris Alexiou, Theodoridou, Terzis the late Mitropanos and many more etc etc.

What I listen to is the instrumental behind the singer, the singer is the cream on the cake.

And listen to this. This is great music.

True Bafidi, i agree with you that the music is more important than the vocal part... i like the above song though the voice of the singer is not bad either but it's not exactly my type to make me addictive to it...

I don't know if it could be considered as Greek music but the Greek musician Vangelis is in my top five of all time greatest musicians...

Back to the topic; the Cypriot band you're gonna listen in the below youtube video sound very universal with a traditional theme... very good indeed...

Insan, how do you store the many u-tube videos you like to listen to? Have you downloaded them all to your hard disk or have you some other method for quickly accessing them?

I don't store them Gr... i just type one word from the name of the song and one word from the name of the artist into the search bar of youtube and choose the one i want to watch and listen... the number of songs and artists names i memorized since my childhood should be over a million... On the other hand, to discover music and videos I haven't listened to and watched yet; i put some related keywords into the search bar of youtube or a serch engine and find out them... it's easy like that...

I wonder if a music fan like you would be interested in a program like this... (drag the image to your top-most bar and drop it there)

Ooooh, another music thread, excellent...

Chance to dedicate a couple of songs to everyone's favourite fascist fecker, Toffoui.

This one is a very old bit of American folk, revived in a recent Coen Bros film, sung by the Soggy Bottom Boys...

... and staying in America, another one for Toffoui, this from Scuzz Twittly

It seems good and usefull to bookmark your fave music but i don't need something like that really... search function of my OS for the stored music in my computer and search engines for the x-tubes is sufficient for me to easily access my faves and any music i want to listen to...

Back to the topic:

... and Okan Ersan... hundreds of years of Cypriot history but not much we achieved in music field... we have just a handful of musicians and singers... and just a few of them are internationally known....
