Zenobia photo competition
Larnaca tourism board on Monday announced the winners of the underwater photo competition that was part of Zenobia week. The first prize in the competition section for photos of the wreck itself was won by Pantelis Kranos (winning photo above). Another section awarded winners in the category ‘Marine Life’ in and around the shipwreck. The Zenobia, off the coast of Larnaca is among the top ten rated dive wrecks in the world

Have you got the other entries to post? Don't want to be picky but this photo does not have much to it really. The composition and focal point is all wrong. Just vast amounts of blurry nothingness. Sorry

...I like it just for that reason, blue, and the shadows of what is, underwater. love how the green, on the diver's tanks stands out (and the little red dot by his hand).

...me too, hope you provide more pics, shmuel; thanks.

If you are into photography RW, all the reasons for this not being a good picture. Red draws the eye and distracts from the main subject which should be the wreck. The two divers give a sense of depth but that's about it. Still looking forward to some more pictures though.

why should it be the wreck, zan? and even if it is the wreck, as you say, wouldn't you agree zan, that it is interesting composition where the colour, indeed, brings the eye to the foreground, when there is so much more info ahead (from the diver's perspective), all the more reason for the eye to move about, back and forth, in the mind creating its thousand words.

...you might be looking for hard details, I like the mood/atmosphere it creates.

...more photos, as in a series, would be good.

Not quite in technical terms RW but then there is the saying " I don't know much about art but I know what I like".

If you like it that's all that matters. I was just commenting on what photographers would look out for. The rule of thirds and colour balance etc. No offence.

This one is nearly there. Ive cropped and enhanced it a bit.

This one would have been best if the divers head was visible interacting with the fish not looking at the camera

This one looks photo shopped to me. Something definitely not right about the edging around the diver. I might be wrong but to me it looks suspicious.
