I am not a great expert on this, but I thought the hunting season was from the beginning of November to the end of February. I am not a hunter but a regular hill walker, and I know that you never see hunters in the hills in summer. Perhaps there has been a change this year?

Summer season starts 17th August, every Sunday and Wednesday for dove and wood pigeon.

No, you really do, albeit in smaller numbers.
