because we use this word usually to describe a small fight between two people and usually a stupid kind of fight..

I believe yes. RoC wants true reunification measures to be taken, and such measure would definitely help.

The only thing the occupation regime cares about are financial and political gains for their side only. This is why every "reunification" measure they are willing to make is one that will bring them such benefits without benefiting neither GCs nor the unification.

τι κάνεις \τι κάνετε; ti kaneis / tı kanete ? the fırst ıs when askıng one person (preferably a friend) / the second is the plural question and the polite form of asking.
a note. the verb "kano" - actually means "do". so the answer to that is usually , an answer to the question "how are you", but dont be surpised if you get an answer of the kind : "sheftalies" (implying the person is preparing or cooking the delicacy )

πολύ καλά (ευχαριστώ), εσύ \ εσείς; poly kala (efhristo) esi / esis ? very well (thank you) , and you (esi - singular)
esis (plural and / or polite form)?


ωραίος καιρός σήμερα, ε; oreos keros simera , e? nice weather today . the "e" at the end is kind of asking for a confirmation, thus turning the sentence into a question, rather than a simple statement... even though the cypriots would use "a" in the place of "e" :
inta oreos tjeros simera a! what a nice weather today , a! pronounced kind of different and has a completely different music...

but i dont want to confuse you stuff, first thing in the morning with gc dialect

I am going to be difficult and disagree with Sadik on accents.I think in Turkish the accents are even on each sylabble(this spelling of sylabble looks wrong but nevermind,you know what I mean).
eg On Sadik (Sa-dik) it is only very impercivably on the second sylabble.
On Bir-kib-ris-li the sresses are even on all sylabbles.
Now that I think about it,it is not as simple as I stated.For example if my name was Mete (Me-te) the accent will be considerably more on the first sylabble.Hmmm.Personal names are different I guess.Usually if you stick to even stresses you can't be too wrong.

As to the original question of the thread.YES ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL.
Every Cypriot should learn both languges plus English.Imagine,if we started today to make it compulsory for everyone who starts kindergarten to study both languages,within 3 generations (45 years) almost every living Cypriot will be trilingual.What fun.What richness of culture!
