The TC's had an organization that went by the name of Vulkan in the 1950's. I had two friends that I think were members, but we never talked about it.

I had GC friends too, but had just been posted from Istanbul to Nicosia and enjoyed Turks also . I also did three years in Athens and we had many Greek-Brit couples as friends there.
