Zaman describes relations between two of the alleged Guarantor Powers as being strained over the exchange of GB citizens as part of a deal to get Turkish hostages released by IS.

A huge slap in the face for the TCs from Davut today in the Zaman English edition.

He said that Turkey and Greece will strike a deal re the gas in the Cyprus EEZ. So much for working on behalf of TCs and all that crap. And he reiterated the water for gas offer.

TCs never learn. Neither do we. If we had the sense of humour, at least, to declare a direct per citizen cash payment from the gas all this crap would dissolve into thin air. No political promise can overcome the power of cash. And to pre empt any undermining about it being a GC trick, issue coupons right now, non negotiable and to every citizen of the RoC. That would finish the TC interests at heart Davut charade. A present tangible coupon exchangeable for cash when the gas earnings come through. would also shake the foundations of the trunc. The only thing they ever gave the TCs is stolen land and taxes to sustain the invasion army.
