Soto, I'm afraid you are wrong... public teachers salary is A10 scale which is a bit more than 800CYP net.... As for the kindergarden teachers, yes they are low-prices people as well here, about 300CYP...

Man 2500CYP is a hell of money here... Unless you buy a half milion house, a 80,000 CYP car and stay every weekend at Anassa... A resonable person can easily live with this salary.

Mikros, she is talking about public kindergarten teachers. What is this 300? A0? It is bellow minimum wage. It can not be that low when working for government.

For public I dont know, as all the kinder-people I know work for the public sector. A0? :) Net A2 money is not far away from 300...

Maybe. But I guess A2 is for people without higher education. Like the ones cleaning the roads. You need a university degree to be a public kindergarten teacher. It should be at least an A6. How much is that?

Nope, you can have a college degree which is not a university degree... But I think public kinder-people get the same salary as other teachers if they have a university degree. She can always ask at the Ministry og Education (www.moe.gov.cy)

This depends on the degree. The Bachelor degree for example is the same from college and from university.

Nop.... since the cy colleges give you an HND for kind-teachers, where as in other countries you can get a Bachellors or Master

OK. I was talking about other countries. In Cyprus most colleges are of lower level unfortunately.
