Christmas gifts?

What kind of gifts are you going to give this year? Do you exchange gifts on Christmas day, New Year or both?

Always on Xmas day.

For the past couple of years the kids (17/18/20) want cash, so I give them cheques (HeHe  )

My wife sends me nuts, she seems to always know what she doesn't want me to get her, but isn't forthcoming about what she wants, so I take her to the shops and tell her to buy something, then I give her a surprise stocking filler on Xmas day

We usually exchange gifts on New Year but sometimes on Christmas day also :D I should admit that I don't like this gift exchange very much. What if the gift you give to somebody is not good enough? Or what if you receive a gift from somebody that you don't have a gift to give back?

Well you will never know if the gift you give to someone is not good enough because the person you give it too, wont be rude enough to say "this gift is rubbish" etc, and if you recieve a gift from someone and you dont have one back i think an excuse is in order, then get it the next day :P

I can understand if they liked the gift or not even if they don't say it ;)

I always exchange gifts on Xmas day, for some years now, we leave the presents for a couple of days under the tree and open them on the Xmas day. Well, this is the magic of Xmas, and of course if you want to have a happy "gift-receiver", just don't buy the first thing will pass by your sight, but sit down and think whether the other person will like it based on his/her needs/ character and of course your budget!

We exchange gifts all around the Christmas holidays

I give small gifts to many people and some more expensive ones to the people that are close to me.

I like shopping so buying gifts is a pleasure :)

What gift to you want Mikre? For one of the gifts I should choose between new sun glasses and a good set of tools. What do you think I should choose? :P
