Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Order "Unlawful"

Postby bill cobbett » Tue Feb 17, 2015 9:41 pm

Zizziro News bringing news of another exciting CY story...

News of Tottenham Hotspur FC's long-running saga to build a new football stadium, here in the CY Republic of North London (scabbier parts thereof)

A move which has led to the closure and relocation of many long-established small firms with compulsory purchase orders.

This from http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-31510074 ...

"... A business standing in the way of Spurs' £400m stadium redevelopment has claimed that an invalid compulsory purchase order (CPO) is being used to force it out, the High Court has heard.

Archway Sheet Metal Works, in Paxton Road, Tottenham, has asked a judge to quash the order.

If it is quashed, it could delay the new 56,000 capacity stadium.

In November, a fire gutted the premises, which is yards from the White Hart Lane ground in north London. ... "

... so what the hell has this story got to do with CY you ask...???

The firm that has been standing firm against the new stadium will be known to some of you. It's been in a seven-year legal dispute with Spurs and its premises have been gutted after what some call a "suspicious fire".

It's a firm often referred to as Archway Steel, makers of the most sought after, the most desirable CY souvles for the more discerning souvlagee, doner machines and other bespoke and stainless catering equipment.

Owned by the CY Josif family.

Link to their product site for those of you who have 200-300 GBP to spare for a bbq ... http://www.archwaysm.com

Any other news from the Cypriot base of north London apart from football?

When I first caught sight of this header my heart leapt for joy !, I thought that there had been a lifting on the P.C. directive which forbids us from shouting "YIDS" during the game.

Oh... mixed news for the yid army, according to the Telegraph...

"... Using the word ‘Yid’ at White Hart Lane will no longer be an arrestable offence, the The Metropolitan Police has announced.
The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust (THST) asked the police for their position on the controversial term in a police and safety forum meeting last Monday.
They were told anti-semitic holocaust songs directed at Spurs fans, which are an offence, are different from chants sung by Spurs fans including the Y-word, which are not.
Constable Steve Payne, Football Intelligence Officer for the Met, said fans would still be arrested for using the Y-word if a complaint was made against them. ..."

Yes !!, a spokesman for George's café in Green Lanes has announced that, as from next week, table cloths will be provided for ALL the tables and Keo will be available in pint bottles but customers will still have to drink out of small glasses.

The Yids like to help their own as you well know.

That is why they awarded a Cypriot firm with a multi million pound contract.
