Yali-yali, Cousin Ennasehgammomavrojehyerimo...

Another example of your strange interpretation of compromise.

There will be compromises on this Rubbish Guarantor system and if you're less than happy about it... well, get used to being less than happy.

Well, there was something brief from the negotiator.

Here's the whole of the kp English translation which answers your question...

"... According to Greek Cypriot daily Phileleftheros’ story in yesterday’s edition security and guarantees are the two “thorny” issues that are expected to be the most challenging.

Phileleftheros claimed that foreign diplomats who are following Cyprus talk “closely” want the issue of guarantees to be given priority at the “give and take” phase, and according to the Paper diplomats say that in order to reach to an agreement on the issue “equivalent response” was needed.

In the same reports it is also claimed that Turkish Cypriot negotiator Özdil Nami was insisting on the continuation of the guarantees while Greek Cypriot Side and Greece find the system “out dated” and reminded that UK was also in the big picture when discussing guarantees.

According to Philelftheros, even though UK was avoiding to make an official statement about guarantees her real wish was to continue their existence in Cyprus via an settlement and that for UK guarantees is a secondary issue. Basing its claims on reliable sources Phileleftheros wrote that sides related to Cyprus problem have already started plan exercises.

“One of the scenarios put forward by the Turkish Side is that Turkey would be the guarantor of Turkish Cypriot constituent state. However this is a much more risky system than the one already exists. While some third parties want to include NATO in the picture, there is another view to increase EU’s and UN Security Council’s authority in Cyprus and to eliminate the guarantee system altogether” wrote the paper. ..."

As for Spokesperson Akinci, yes, absolute silence.

If you think lying and cheating your way into the Christian Club aka EU changes anything with regards to the Cyprus problem then you are in for yet another shock. No guarantor no settlement. I give anybody thats got the balls and wants to have a wager on this matter odds of 50 to 1. here is your perfect opportunity to make easy money. Go on punk, make my day.

there are no rules in the eu that will stop any country from doing anything it pleases subject to certain minimum requirements. they certainly do not interfere internally.
uk is talking about removoing the human rights act.
i hear nobody saying it is mnot allowed.
