Joint venture...

Postby tsukoui » Thu Jun 25, 2015 12:24 pm

Looking for a business partner someone who can design plant based materials.

This is a one off patent that stands to make millions.

I'm not joking.

So no one has contacted me about my idea  my only concern is that the patent won't be general enough allowing competitors to make a slight alteration and sell the same product... I'm thinking to go to China with the idea if Germany doesn't pay up...

give some details, "design plant based materials" does not mean anything.

It's such a simple idea I can't really reveal any more without giving it away. I'm not up on patent law. How general an idea can be patented? For example, suppose cigarette papers had not been invented. Could I hold the patent for cigarette papers that would cover all forms of manufacture of them, or would I have to patent a specific manufacturing process?

It sounds to me your idea is to patent perforated condoms

unlikely, as this would be considered as un-innovative enough. Reminds me of a time that someone tried to patent the standard brick, got turfed out.

It's a good idea and would sell (a lot), but as I said, I am unsure as to what degree of ownership I could have over it. Perhaps I should just give it away...

if all you have is that which anybody can get hold of from anywhere, how can you patent it.
