Conclusive...evidence that we are ....Arabs :
1. We dress in gellapies, wear a headscarf, our women look like vrikolakes, never show their hair or their legs, never wear bikinis and walk 3 steps before the men folk.
2. We do not use cutlery, we use our fingers, right hand only, with the left we scartch our arses.
3.We do not drink alchohol , do not eat bacon or pork ...sheftalies.
4. We pray 5 times a day.
5. We have 4 or more wives whom we can replace anytime by a wave of the hand.
6. Our women are not permitted to drive cars, or attend sporting events, neither are they allowed to pray with us.
7. We do not respect the sanctity of life as we believe that heaven is where life realy is.
8. We all grow our beards, women too.
9.We occasionaly stone a rape victim to death.
10. We gladly commit suicide in the name of our God, only we take with us any innocent bystanders.

Arabs are totally lovely and I really enjoy most aspects of their culture.

Ok, they can be overly religious is about all, but the same can be said of Jews, Greeks and some parts of USA even.

Which of my ten listed cultural customs do you find untrue ?
Maybe they do not have polygamy, or maybe they freely consume Scotch !!

Most things!

Firstly, in my opinion they are the politest and the most sincerest of people.

I also love their food, which has similarities to Greek Food minus the pork even though some will eat that too. Some will even drink behind closed doors.

I like the Bedouin Lifestyle, have even camped out in a Bedouin village. I love the music, belly dancers and costumes.

I love their social etiquette. I even find the call to prayer soothing.


I love the spicey aromas, vibe and their passion. The females are also very pretty but you got to be careful and respectful.

Oh and one more thing. Crime is near zero.

There is hardly any drug issues. If you lose your wallet in the street, it's normal that the person who finds it will return it. If that happens in Cyprus or Greece in particular, then you would be fortunate if it was returned.

You can leave your car unlocked, and even your house open although I wouldn't push your luck. If someone robs you, it will be the migrant workers but the risks and penalties are too high for most to even try it.

You can leave valuables in your taxi. Your children are safe, and protected.

You will find a society that simply does not exist in the western world.

Some areas are more liberal than others. For instance, Dubai is excellent. In Abu Dhabi you need to be a little more careful because it's not as liberal as Abu Dhabi but it's ok. Oman and Qatar are ok as well. KSA is a different kettle of fish. But I can't say that it is dangerous at all. Probably Europe, Australia and USA are more dangerous I would say.

They love children and will do everything for them, even Christian and Western Children.

There are not huge cultural differences in my opinion. The music is almost an exact carbon copy of Greek Music. I could listen to it all day.

If you make an genuine effort, they respond very warmly, even in the KSA.

I wouldn't go drinking in public however or behaving like a drongo.

Someone like yourself, with your lack of tolerance, bigotry, and disrespect mind find the going a bit tough.

If you really must compare cultures, Greeks and Cypriots can find a lot of commonality with them, particularly the food, music and dance.

As far as politeness and hospitality are concerned, the Arabs destroy everyone including Cypriots.

The differences are all in your head. Greeks and Cypriots have a lot more in common with them than Europeans and that is a good thing because Arabs are a very interesting, and colorful people.
