It’s all about sensitive “
listening stations” and the sectionalization of frequencies (sounds) to approximately identify an incoming object, Lordo.
For example, an operating electric motor will emit a specific sound that is within a certain expected frequency range, whereas a gas motor will emit sounds from another expected frequency range, etc.
If you look up on the tip of the Troodos mountain you’ll see a white sphere at the mountain's highest peak (Olympus).
It’s yet another listening station of the British, although this one is designed for picking up and analyzing lower frequency sounds like explosions, earthquakes, missile launches, etc, as it is pointed towards the ME.
If you remove the white spherical polygon weather protection cover there should be a powerful radio dish underneath.
