Just a thought..., have a look at "Mosh Pit" on "youtube" and you might get some idea of WHY Eastern society is so reluctant to accept or embrace the culture of the mighty American [and other] forces that assail them.

Oh right! You think we didn't have the ISF under our control? Why would we take their weapons from them? We gave them more not take.

And we didn't steal their oil. Iraq's resources are its sovereign property just like the resources in the Cyprus EEZ are the sovereign property of the RoC!
