A few years too late ......the only Maronite member I knew was Kafenes who sadly passed away....

...i will keep my eye open and try to remember to post here, when there is news that is relevant; welcome qelo.

The Maronite Community, is even smaller than the Armenian Community, like the Latins, as Constituencies, they exist, having the same needs as the Turkish Community when it comes to sustaining their distinct identities, in Cyprus. Within that context, i would like to remind the readers that in the case of Cyprus, it is English as a Language that is the biggest threat to all of us, including the overwhelming population of the Greek Community (and Grecophones). Cyprus has an Ethnos, and it is worth preserving, the living relics that we have are a Heritance whose value is as yet unknown, yet if it dies from extinction who is to blame?

Cypriots defend each other, as GR likes to say, there is a Cypriot way. And until we were torn apart, these communities thrived in cooperation and among one another.
