Why don't you try to live somewhere cheaper if it's only for six months with a specific purpose?

At least 6 months required... this means in some cases might be more... I have a son who attends to school in north... so it should be closer to checkpoints... Agios Demetios and Agios Pavlos are very suitable for me but in Strovolos there is a far better internet infrastructure i think...

Leave your son/wife/mother in the occupied territories and reside in the free area, on your own, for six months or so. Then even cheap digs will do. There's nowhere that says you cannot visit them whenever you want.

It's not as difficult as you're making out and you probably stand to make a lot of money by selling those two houses since the RoC has been doing well in the global sphere (you will always benefit from GCs  )

insan roc was given instruction by the eu to give tc properties quicker, it was declared illegal. look into that.

It is not difficult at all. There are 1000s of foreigners who live in Cyprus and for somebody with the cy citizenship it would be even easier.

insan there are tcs who moved south and claimed their properties and now have left. perhaps you can rent a house from them. I will try to put you in touch with somebody in limasol who may be able to help you find a tc house.

Your house is under the control of the TC properties trustee. It might be worth your while to go there and see the arrangements made regarding your house. The GCs living there are paying rent to the trustee. They do not just live there for free. They also keep a list of maintenance jobs and expenses made in the house.

Hi insan. Welcome back to the madhouse. It only seems a few months since you were last here and i was debating with you (around the time David Carter appeared on the forum) but its been years... Hope life has treated you well. Some good advice from sotos re working in the north and living in the free areas and also (and i never thought i'd say this) from lordo re renting from a TC who has already been through the process. Hope you take heed of thier advice. Mind you i got to say i dont think anyone outside of the TC community will have any interest in your book.. Best wishes and good luck.

At least a TC can live AND work in the RoC, can a GC do that in the north?? Seems double standards is all you understand.

I believe Antonis Angastiniotis did for a time live and work in the north. Is it a case that GC can not or more a case of GC do not want to ? I can imagine what you would say should a GC decide to live in the North - you would call them a traitor and turk lover and a supporter of the illegal regime. Still no double standards there I guess.
