It proved that it had nothing to do with Cyprus and love. He's been divorced for 25 years .
Initially demanded to land in Turkey. The plane landed in Cyprus as it run out of fuel...
The man was simply a lunatic wrote a letter with all sorts of meaningless nonsense. He even photographed himself smiling with the last 3 persons he released. :roll:

His ex-wife lives in Orokilini - why would he have initially asked to go to Turkey?

I heard this too but it was made by a Turk-loving reporter I do not trust who would always link the name of Cyprus with Turkey even if there was NO good reason.

It was after the plane landed in Larnaca that he remembered he had an ex wife here...

Just because he didn't explain himself or his motives until after starting the hijack, it doesn't mean he only 'remembered' once he got to Cyprus.
