It’s so easy and cheaper for the US to oil only a handful of corrupt criminals who run the entire EU as opposed to having to deal with each and every European country on an individual basis.

The “remain in EU” will win regardless of the outcome because the outcome the people will be shown will be that which has already been decided by the US and it’s 5-6 European traitors/cronies/puppets.

Well done ..... right on the nail! Absolutely true ..... but all those that get their views from the media will just believe such views to be conspiracy theories! There's none so dumb as those that cannot see?

I see that you Robin also believes the results will be rigged because America says so !!

You are suggesting that the referendum results will be rigged !

The Video: Opinions expressed before an event are always more credible than expert opinion after the event.

I think GR has a point. Why did Obama come to the UK to talk to Cameron? He read him the riot act and told him the peril he was in if he did not make sure the vote was to remain, as it was his big mouth that gave rise to such an act of rebellion in the first place. I wouldn't put it past 'them' to shall we say adjust the vote results, but it will be close.

I find GR's opinion credible ..... if he had proof, he would be dead!

Music to my ears ... from the Guardian's live referendum blog:

Kate Smith, 19, Newcastle upon Tyne:

I’ve only voted twice before, but both of those times I was in and out of the polling station within minutes. Today, when I arrived, there was a queue of around 15 people lined up outside – it was 8am! The most encouraging thing was that of these 15 people, around two thirds were under 25. I’m so glad that my generation is engaging in this referendum, which in my opinion could be the most important decision we could make.

GR's opinions are worthless since they are formulated and dictated by his intense aversion of America.

To suggest that the vote will be rigged as to please the Americans is absurd and preposterous to say the least. As for Obama coming to the UK to read the riot act to Cameron all I can say is what a a load of codswallop .

America’s number #1 enemy will always be Russia because it’s a HUGE country that stretches half the globe, 130 million strong, possesses ICBMs that can reach any corner of the world with a +/- accuracy of 200m, has more nuclear arsenal than everyone else combined, and so forth.

So, given that the US cannot directly confront such a deadly nemesis that threatens their hegemony, how else can they destroy them?

Well one way is to deplete their customers so the US is using (read abusing) the EU to achieve their devious plan.

Without a union of European countries that can be easily controlled with streamlined policies, how else can America hurt Russia?

A united Europe makes it very easy for the US to achieve this and that’s why America will always fight tooth and nail to ensure that the EU is never dismantled.

If you have been watching events in the US and the Trump/Clinton saga .... that is exactly what is happening in the US,

We do not have the privilege of knowing what goes on behind the scenes. We are too easily led by the impression that 'they' would never do that, we are an civilised country with morals! We just wouldn't cheat .... we are British .......'someone would blow the whistle'!

I am not a trusting person, I look for flaws in any argument ..... so far the 'Remain' cause has been led by fear of the unknown rather than explaining why we would benefit from remaining rather than taking the risk and leaving. The 'Leave' side are not much better. Milti, 99% of the population really don't have the slightest clue as to what the arguments are all about. I hate to say it but ..... it is just like money creation ..... same level of understanding.

Obamas visit was played down but it is unprecedented for one Head of State to directly interfere with another States internal affairs. That it happened at all says a lot ..... this vote is VERY important to the US. :?

It is America's incessant diabolic foreign policies against the rest of the world that gradually brought about my hatred and not the other way round!

I'm of much the same opinion and my resentment has also grown over the years. But I would differentiate between The Americans and the US Administration. I spent years working and living with Americans and they are generally a likeable people. One thing I did realise was, that they are very badly informed about what happens outside the USA and really cannot understand why so much of the World is against them. They feel that all their military missions over the last 60-70 years have been to bring the American Dream to the rest of the World, the concept of hegemony is not on their menu! :(

Do you not think it would be easier for the USA to 'bully' individual countries to do their bidding that it is to bully a union of countries to do such ? Just a suggestion really. Exactly how you think the UK outside of the EU will be more able to resist USA pressure than it can inside the EU is not clear to me.

But didn’t they already try that starting from the end of WWII and right up to the 90s? The result was around 60% wins and around 40% losses to the USSR.

It was a long, expensive, and arduous campaign that spanned many decades.

With the EU they don’t have to bully anyone anymore… just bribe the 5-10 top EU dogs well, as well as use the media to manufacture whatever stories they want to convince the masses.

I must say, America is perfecting her global manipulation techniques but then again they’ve had close to a century of practicing before they got the formula “right”!

Exactly how you think the UK outside of the EU will be more able to resist USA pressure than it can inside the EU is not clear to me.

Well obviously any country that isn’t bound by the EU’s streamlined policies is independent enough to choose whatever they wish… including whether or not to use the petrodollar! (as an example).

I’m sure you’re aware of the pending competition to the petrodollar stemming from the union of Russia + China + Brazil + etc.
