I got hit from behind while riding my motorbike, made me realise the importance of wearing the correct gear while riding. If I hadn't been (and I didn't always 
) I'd probably still be in hospital.
Other than that, 2005 has been a forgettable year.

I'm so sorry to hear that. ALWAYS wear proper riding gear. In New York, you're only required to wear a helmet and some people only wear "half-helmets" but my husband and I always wear full helmets, "armoured" jackets and long pants - no matter what the weather is. Yes, it does get hot, but we value our lives too much. Plus, we have a 13 year old to live for.
My husband hit slammed by a NY Yellow Taxi and his bike got thrown under a moving vehicle this passed summer. Luckily, someone yelled at the driver and told her not to move. She didn't realize that half of his bike was under her car.

Farewell to 2005

1. I'm thankful that I still have my father around. He was diagnosed with cancer in 1998. I take him back and forth to various doctors. He's 88 now and looks great!
2. My cousin gave birth to a beautiful baby girl - Angelina
3. My brother got married in July (not sure if that's a good thing though...
4. Allen and I got a lot of riding done this year. Took the bike on a couple of twisties and met great people on Cycleforums! We love you guys!
5. I gained weight (not a good thing).
6. My son, Jalen, did very well in school this year. He made the honour roll again.
7. My mom had surgery on 14 Dec and is recovering quite well.
8. The people at Cyprus-forums have welcomed me with opens arms.
