Here’s the story as best as I have understood it from your descriptions over the years:

1. Over a thousand years ago, a bunch of imaginary Greeks somehow came to Cyprus. (<-- via Qantas airlines or Helios?)

2. They found a vacant island so they painted it blue & white. (<-- What about Cypriot fauna and flora or did they have to bring their own Greek goats?)

3. Over a millennium later, you were born and somehow automatically inherited all their charms! (<-- IQ included?)

How did I go?

And when an ethnic group settles a particular place then this ethnic group can continue to exist in that place for 1000s of years. Nothing strange about this. Now lets see your story: Greeks never came to Cyprus but somehow the people in Cyprus started to talk and write in Greek thousand of years ago. How did that happen genius? They took distance learning courses over the internet? :lol:

And then while the Turks and then British had absolute control over Cyprus, Greek magicians used telepathy to make Cypriots believe they are Greek! I understand that as a traitor you are trying to help your British and Turkish friends in their attempt to destroy Hellenism in Cyprus... but believe me GR... you are way too stupid to be of any help to anybody

Ah you poor soul… if ethnicity was based on LANGUAGE then this world would be a very different place, most people in the world would be called English! :lol:

Btw Sotos, your “Greeks came to Cyprus” theory implies that ethnicity is both TRANSFERABLE and EXPORTABLE to other peoples! :shock:

So a bunch of Greeks can move to China and if they can convince the Chinese that they should just abandon everything from their past and take up Greekness, that’s it… they will become ethnically Greek!

Yeah, that sounds like a plausible technique to take over entire nations... I wonder why others aren’t doing it?

You are avoiding to give answers GR. Language is one of the main elements of an ethnicity, but that is not the point. So I will emphasize the questions and wait for good answers from you.

1. How and why did people in Cyprus started to talk and write in Greek thousands of years ago if no Greeks ever came to Cyprus?

2. If we are not Greek and our belief is just "brainwashing" by Greece then explain how Greece brainwashed the people in Cyprus while having no control whatsoever over the island. Why didn't Greece use the same magical powers to turn the whole world into Greeks?

It is called ASSIMILATION of the smaller group into the bigger group. A large number of Greeks came to Cyprus and any non Greek minorities gradually assimilated into the majority. This is something that happened in many places and continues happening. But you are so stupid that instead of accepting this fact you deny it, without having any good explanation on how people in Cyprus would start to speak and write in Greek many 1000s of years ago if no Greeks ever came to Cyprus.

GRs story: People in Cyprus 3000 years ago were thinking: "Hey... we got bored to talk and write in our language, lets switch to something else" "Let me Google 'learn a new language '". "Hey... there is a course in this language called 'Greek' and these guys are offering the course for Free and we never even have to meet any Greek to learn the language"."Cool, now we learned Greek lets talk and write only in Greek and forget whatever language we were speaking before" :lol:
