It's not 'British' law, RW. It's English.

The law of Cyprus (Greek: Κυπριακό Δίκαιο) is a legal system which applies within the Republic of Cyprus. Although Cyprus law is extensively codified, it is still heavily based on English Common Law in the sense that the fundamental principle of precedent applies.
