When I enter mu email and hit next, I get that black screen with pixelated sad face. Really weird.

Oh wait, it's a Google account isn't it? You can never log onto a Google account via the Classic! Servers blocked!

You should leave that up to the user you know. I don't mind having a Google account at all, because I am not afraid of them because my YouTube usage is fine. Got nothing to hide and I like all the channels I saved there.

All Google servers are blocked via special parameters because they violate user’s privacy...

there is nothing wrong with the gimmick.

Anyway, you should make this stuff user configurable.
