I think the talks are at deadlock and have collapsed everywhere except in name.

Everyone from the UN down has been feeding the public with so much hyperbole about the positive progress and they have not agreed on any chapter. The point of this 'international conference' in Geneva with the gaurantors present was to finalize terriroty and security. What they did was continue to disagree on property and governance and a leak was made to the press.

What we see from this leak is that the two sides are very far apart and now Akinci wants freedom of movement for all Turks and Turkish goods in "Turkish Cyprus" thrown in to the mix. The Turkish side basically want the north to remain as it is and become Turkey in all but name and take a 30% fixed representation in the Republic of Cyprus. Amongst other things.

It is the kind of stuff that is gauranteed to get a no vote from the GC's if it ever was a starter.

<<<<< Loss of use of property: the G/C say refugees must have the right to compensation for loss of use and should be given priority should their initial mode of restitution not be satisfied, with compensation paid out of a co-financed fund; compensation to be paid by the constituent state to which the applicant belongs, say the T/C.>>>>>

now this is what i call result.

5 properties and 43 years of loss of use. all in the roc . so the cheque better not bounce.

We is going to have a party and you are all invited with the exception of a few swines which will not be allowed in.

Maxi, its what I have always said. Typical Turkish bazaliki, what's mine is mine, what's yours is mine.

Poor Lordo will be so disappointed boo hoo.

If this is true it has made my day.

don't you worry about a thing. even if the agreement is not reached to unify, it will be reached to divide and the same rules will a apply then. instead of returning properties they will be compensating instead. either way the problem will be resolved one way or another.

there is an old saying, you can take the dobkey to the water but you cannot make it drink.

this is over

I would just wait;

Turkey will probably implode within a few years and the Turks in Cyprus will either leave the island or accept the RoC's authority over it.

it makes no difference what happens, roc is responsible for blocking me using my properties for 43 years and some 53 years. so i dont give a shit man. the time has come. the day of reckoning is 2017.
