Obviously you can't put a tent whenever you want but as long as you don't bother anybody then you will be fine. Worst case scenario they will ask you to leave.

I'm planning to make a trip on Cyprus by bike or on foot ( I have not decided yet), and I dont want to depend on cities and hotels. Of course, I'm not planning to do it on the streets of cities.
