By my "understanding" you are quite daft, the "Oxford Academic Union" is a private LLC which has nothing to do with the prestigious "Oxford University". No reputable university has any affiliation to it.

While I do admire Suat for creating what he has, out of a small English Language school. Without doubt, NEU is a degree factory which awards degrees to every tom dick and harry who pay its fees. I know people who teach there, from what I've heard many students who cannot even write a simple paragraph in English are somehow graduating with Masters degrees.

1) The news here was about how the TRNC is successfully gaining EXPOSURE regardless of the institute, private company or organisation. Seeing that the GCs went crazy when they saw a few international car dealerships and even HSBC subs under Turkish licensing from Turkey in the TRNC, any form of acknowledgement is a bonus in front of our blood thirsty Greek Cypriot Compatriots who'd rather see us dead!

2) Russia is the only provider of Liquid Gas in the region, and that's how it will remain. Russia threatened the EU in the past with recognising the TRNC if the EU continues to push the boundaries!

3) NEVER FORGET that as long as the TRNC remains UNRECOGNISED, Turkey's Guarantor status remains firmly in tact until a COMPREHENSIVE resolution to the Cyprus is secured! Thus, the Gas Find off the shores of the Island of Cyprus is equally split between all Three Guarantor powers - 33% Each!

...but, he is Cypriot, that is to say as a Politician he won as a Cypriot; maybe he will this time tomorrow take the big risk and represent for the People, Turkish or not, as Cypriots.
