I do not soend much atall...eu 10 a week on snacks at the office, eu 20 on fuel,, ...the wife spends the rest...not sure what on but we normally have food in the house

Biggest single expense is the care assistant we need for our daughter, though we hope to "fade" her in the next year.

Aside from the normal expenses as anyone else to live, the extra expense is for my sailboat's needs such as berth fees, insurance and some maintenance, gym membership, badminton court fees and travel abroad few times a year.

Which one of you gun buffs can recommend me a good air pistol?

My requirements:

1. As silent as possible as I intend to blast pigeons on my rooftop.
2. I don’t want to spend a fortune on this.
3. Has to be readily available for purchase at a Nicosia store.
4. I expect to be able to take out pigeons from 20..50 meters away.
5. I said pistol because I want it to be small and easily concealable.

First of all you need a permit from the police to have an air gun or pistol. There are a few gun shops in Nicosia so you should have no trouble there. You won't shoot pigeons with an airpistol at the distances you want with much accuracy. An airgun (rifle style) is what you need. A gas operated one is silent enough and pigeons or anyone else are unlikely to get disturbed by the 'pff' it makes. Oh, and they don't come cheap either!

I don't get why you need it concealable unless you intend shooting on someone else's property!!!!

I’d rather not have the neighbors seeing me roaming around the garden with a rifle and getting any wrong ideas!

My father in law already has a rifle... anyway.
