The Israelis have made their decision as far as hydrocarbons flow is concerned and there are no surprises as they never trusted Turkey anyway.

The joint exercises are headed towards a special joint military unit/force to watch over hydrocarbon installations.

If Turkey does something stupid that jeopardizes the planned flow… a recently-converted-to-Judaism little princess will be crying and I’m pretty sure undiplomatic Trump won’t be very kind to Turkey.

I suspect some kind of military corridor will in the near future be implemented with the initial Cypro-Israeli region (approx marked by red lines) being patrolled/guarded by this special joint unit, and the potential for expansion of this corridor if the Lebanon and Egypt join in (marked by blue lines).

That's exactly it.
Last thing the Israeli's want is geopolitical and military turmoil in Cyprus, because it will DIRECTLY affect their hydrocarbon interests, which for them is a massive issue just from the sheer volume of gas in both EEZ and future undersea gas pipelines.
It's not that they love us, it's common interests and knowing the Israelis, they WILL protect them no matter what Er***an says.

It is not possible for anyone of the players to go it alone, and maximise the returns on their investment. Cyprus is an easy pick as a partner, they have shown the capacity to cooperate, and to move the project forward, not just with Israel, with Egypt, and of course, Greece. Turkey counts on the details in Law which remain unclear; as she claims the Continental shelf for herself. But, the expertise to demonstrate this ability, to exploit the resources, she would have to buy not having it already; who would service to her needs under these circumstances?

Imagine, as allies, partners, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Egypt and Turkey, today. Italy, Lebanon and Syria would not be far, even a Palestinian State, in joining.
