Anyway, thank-you DrCyprus; whereas style, not content, was criticised.

That's a pity. He seemed harmless enough.

Most Forums have a resident hippy(s). A problem was probably the dearth of active posters here, disproportionately inflating the impact of his efforts.

His posts were totally irrelevant. I could write a bot that would be more relevant that he was.

Problem is that this is a Cyprus Forum in English. While a lot of Cypriots can read/write English the great majority prefers to use their native language. English people in Cyprus prefer to be exclusively with their own and their only interest in Cyprus is whining about it... and they prefer to do so in a place where there aren't any/many Cypriots to respond. The forum served a greater purpose when it was used as an exchange of views between GCs and TCs back in the years following the opening of the checkpoints and our EU accession when there was hope for a solution. But soon everybody realized that there can never be an agreement between us so such discussions died. All that we have now is some facebook groups.. some of them foreign sponsored, where all they do is publish slogans and there is hardly any serious debate going on.

I've followed some of the partition discussions (well OK, arguments) with interest. The adventures of Milti, the Prodigal and other such things. I always found Tim's stuff very enlightening, although I disagreed with him on one thing.

With Tsuk I have to say I usually pressed the "ignore" button. Perhaps some people should have looked around to see if they could find theirs?

Banning the guy seemed a bit harsh.

FWIW.

yes there is one Human race - GiG's problem is how she sees or does not see how Turkish Speaking Cypriots and Greek speaking Cypriots are both parts of it - (and likely ancestrally closer related to each other than either Greeks or Turks, who are likewise a part....)

I have not forgotten I owe a reply on a related topic...
