Australia is Irish. Getting them has been a blessing because the Irish made Australia into what it is today.

If it wasn't for the Irish, then Australia would be undesirably English. And to further water down the English influence, Australia benefited by the inclusion of German immigration from Prussia. Thank heavens to that!

You, are English. I rest my case!

I’m surprised the government hasn’t done something about this yet because turning a blind eye only makes the problem worse each year. Sooner or later we will have to deal with what has evolved into a major pest on the island.

I’m not gonna get into the filth and diseases that stray cats carry and spread because I covered that in a previous post but what I will say is that poisoning is a good method to get rid of such vermin in your neighborhood.

I know it’s not the kind of post you were hoping for in your thread Stephanie, but there are two sides to every coin...

have you ever seen them die after poisoning gr, you little swine. there are a thousand other ways of reducing numbers but poisoning is not one of them.

Laying poison and/or shooting in residential areas should be prohibited, and I believe it is. I don't disagree that this is a bad practice that shouldn't be allowed, but I find hypocritical when certain people care only for specific animals while not giving a fuck about other, and they believe that every person in the world should have the exact same preference in animals as they do. E.g. why is it OK to like cats and eat rabbits but not the opposite?

Especially dogs kept in flats and other shared buildings should be illegal, and owners in these cases should be arrested and heavily penalized.

There are hundreds of dogs barking and shitting all over the place. Recently there have also been deadly attacks of dogs.

I agree, dogs are a much bigger problem. I say the government should offer €200 reward for any video clearly showing an owner letting his dog shit / pee in a public space and then fine those owners €500 per case. And forget about picking the shit up and all that. Dogs should not be allowed to shit / pee in public spaces period. If you don't have privately owned land where your dog can do this, then you shouldn't be allowed to own one.

Owners of dogs must be responsible for picking up dogs mess. On my daily walks I see mostly foreigners, Russians and others doing so. Cypriots, not all, have yet to adopt this necessary practice.
By the way, there are far worst " practices" dangerous too, taking place every day in our roads !!!

Dogs are unnecessary in cities... unless maybe you are blind and you need a guide dog. If you must have a pet get a goldfish!

In all civilized countries dogs are adored.

Not suggesting that you are a donkey by the way.
