Hi Michalis

Saffrons which opened last year is very good, on the Tomb of the Kings Road but away from the tourist area.
Artio's Bistro is very good, even more upmarket with Valet parking.
The is now an eat as much as you wish Brazilain restaurant.
In Chlorakis, Le Petit Bistro is good, in Kissonerga Tweedie's.
Favourite taverans: Peyia Tavern and Farmyard Taverna in Kathikas.
The Karalim, in Coral Bay, is the most authentic Indian restaurant I have been to.
Thymos an excellent fish place; I ma usually the only non-Cypriot there, so the 'locals' like it too

Loads of tourist places too, but I don't frequent too many.

Hi Mikros

As you you will see from my Profile, one of my hobbies is spending money, so yes I am out regularly socialising/eating - although I have avoided the worst effects of all of those calories.

I used to like 7 St Georges - I agree it is very diffferent with many originals dishes - but feel it has got just too touristy and lost some of its soul. But George is a character; for those who dont know, he is an expert on rare vegetables etc and will often go out in the woods/fields in the morning to gather in unusual items for that evening. There is no menu, you just eat what he chooses to serve; the home made bread is amazing!

I have not been to the Araouzos for a year or so; I much prefer it to the taverna 50m along the road (forgotten the name); but the proprioter was too fond of the occasional grope - still you have to admire it at his age!

Minas Take Away (down some back street) does an unbelievable mezze, and Thompson's Fish & Chips just behind the tourist info does the best I've tasted outside of England in that category. Of course we're talking about belly-filling here, not wooing some sexy young thing by candlelight...

Its all a matter of taste(pardon the pun) but in my humble...
Happy Island is a great place to eat, its closed at the mo but I think its due to reopen at the end of the month. It looks a bit touristy on the outside(erm could be due to them being their main clientele) but the food is lovely.

Sisyfos is also good, reasonably priced too.Plus their desserts come from Morellos bakery and you cant go wrong with a Morellos cake :D

There are absolutely loads of places to eat here in Paphos so no room to tell you them all. I've tried many of them and cant say I've had an awful meal yet - some fairly unmemorable ones but never a bad one. Trying the Brazilian(restaurant not the wax) this weekend so will let you know if its nice or not.

Happy eating! :D

Went to Brazilian for a family birthday the other week, it was nice but far to much for me, I like meat and veg together and all of us found the meat very salty, but I must say the prawns and mussels were to die for.
