Foreign diplomats visit Cyprus for commercial and investment

We all need a good laugh.

Foreign diplomats visit Cyprus for commercial and investment

Postby B25 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 5:20 pm

A mission of foreign diplomats from 23 countries, who are based in Greece, arrives in Cyprus today for a four day visit in the context of a coordinated effort to promote the country as a commercial, economic and investment destination.

I fell off my chair reading this, you must be F joking.

Perhaps someone can point us in the direction of any real investment opportunity other than buying an apartment in Paphos!!!!

Never you heard of IKEA, LIDL Wargaming, or the marinas at Ayia napa and Paphos,
of the guys from Macao who built the Limassol casino,
of the French who built the first super modern plant producing medical cannabis,
or the Chinese who built this 50 million project in Ayia Thekla, just to name a few??

Oh please! Wargaming for crying out loud. lol

Maybe Cyprus is to blame for the shoot ups in America and New Zealand then.

And nothing else on offer other than tourism, prostitution, and marinas for all the rich Americans that own Cruisers and are looking for a place to park them in the Mediterranean!

If I wanted to be a taxi driver or a Garson, I would move to Cyprus!

You use to be known as kind of a Financial Center. Nothing like the US of course, or the Center of the Universe in Wall Street but you use to think you were some kind of Cayman Islands, Virgin Islands or Barbados, where money and illegal money is laundered.

But you friggin muppets couldn't even get that right or did your Arseholes in. So who the friggin heck is going to trust Cypriot banks now and what is your standing in the financial world now. Somewhere between Mongolia and Zimbabwe is where you sit. Only boasts about so much Russian Money and from illegal regimes like Assad. It's a joke!

Sorry about being brutally honest but sometimes you need a reality check!

Wargaming imish! Casinos imish! You gonna be like Macau are you? Bullshit mate! Bullshit! Won't get even close.

Trishes! Trishes hontres! Vlakies bolles and malakies!

You people have destroyed so many lives and so many families that have worked so hard in the Diaspora and I am going to sing your praises? Like fuck I will! not until you guys take stock of all the heartache that has been caused to innocent people. At least acknowledge that you literally wiped the entire savings of some families that sacrificed their entire lives cooking fish and chips in Australia and London. Maybe, they should be compensated?

I'm sorry, but you wouldn't hear about this kind of shit in places like the USA or Australia.

Wake up Pyro, because you are just a little bunny boy!

I am aware of it Pyro.

But my point is, its a bit of a joke that this is all there is. Stupid video games...and selling apartments and land to foreigners.

I suppose you have shipping. You had Banking at one point but that went Pfffff like Mari did!

I concluded there cannot be any logical discussion with you.
You have been accused of been drunk or mentally disturbed.
I don't know what exactly is going on with you, but I am certain some of the screws in your head are loose.
Tell us reh Paphiti how did you assign yourself the role of the authority to give us lessons about Cyprus?
Who the hell you think you are?

...don't despair, Pyro. Your replies are more than useful, they are a balance which allows the reader to decide for themselves.

...i appreciate your efforts, as does anyone else who is out looking for truth, in Cyprus.

...there is a big distinction between the "Greeks" in Cyprus, and the Cypriots who are Greek; this may be a good example of it.

It's pretty serious accusing someone of being a drunk, especially in my profession. If you are uncertain as to what I do for a living, you should speak to Boomerang. PLUS, I LITERALLY DON"T DRINK. The last time I had a drop of alcohol was about 3 weeks ago. I don't drink for the sake of drinking and when I do I still don't get drunk. People need to be very careful about their accusations on others. I have never accused anyone of being a habitual drunk or even drunk. I expect the same courtesy in return.

It's a deplorable act to throw this mud at someone because you disagree with their outlook. I decided to stop communicating with someone on this forum because I fundamentally disagree with their outlook. Even when the quote me, I do not read or respond with things I find completely insane and unreasonable. As a result, if you find my outlook to be similar, then you should perhaps adopt my strategy and not read or communicate with me. We would all be better off.

I am what you would call a bit of a fundamentalist when it comes to diet, healthy living and exercise. I have a lot of discipline in my life and control.

But yes, I am opinionated. I am also honest.

This is what I don't like about Cyprus! It's the mentality.

You people are a bunch of Ottomans. You are not Western Europeans so stop pretending. This is a big gap between you guys (us), and Western Europe, Australia and NZ which I call the real world.

You had a big huge spat against the USA. But they are literally light years ahead of you. It's a good country. It's got everything. It's successful, and has a strong economy. On the negative side it has some minor flaws. Which country doesn't? You have more than just one or 2 flaws Pyro in Cyprus

As I said, Cyprus has always been a train wreck and nothing has changed to this very day. I use to think those days are over but they are not. The last few years have indicated that Cyprus is well and truly capable of every disaster in the book. And Cyprus does it really well too, better than most.

The point for you is this: don't throw stones because you are in no position to do that...

I am more than happy to be supportive of Cyprus but not when you are completely oblivious to reality and poke fingers on other countries like the USA, which literally is laughable and just downright STUPID!
