The Secretary-General recalls that the Greek Cypriot leader and the Turkish Cypriot leader have previously agreed in their negotiations that natural resources in a unified Cyprus would lie within the competence of the future federal government."
"Regarding Turkey’s decision to send ships to begin offshore drilling operations around Cyprus, the Secretary-General is monitoring the developments closely with concern.
Our position on hydrocarbons exploration has not changed. Offshore hydrocarbons have the potential to benefit both communities in Cyprus."
"The Secretary-General urges efforts to be made to reduce tensions."

now let see how anastasiades and his swines interpret this statement.

Why is it so difficult to interpret,

Turkey has no rights to it.

The Tc need to abandon their position, dismantle the “tfdg” and come back in to the fold of the legitimate republic of Cyprus.

This has been the position of the roc since the beginning when the gas was discovered.

They can’t eat the cake and keep it too. You can’t expect to keep what was stolen and then share what remains. That’s just an absurd position to take and will always be met with opposition.

There are also countless resolutions on turkey regarding Cyprus, but the swines in turkey ignore them.

What a bunch of hypocrites.

You have a selective memory bordo.

Personally, I don’t see the point of a federation with a group of people that make up only about 10% of the population. As more time goes by, this won’t be feasible as a negotiating position if it is now, at all.

The clue is here,

Natural resources in a unified Cyprus would lie within the competence of the future federal government.

Until then, Cyprus doesn’t stop developing and progressing.

Cyprus isn’t going to remain hostage to a bunch of Turkish backed separatists that failed to break away and receive recognition by the international community.

Your community made the wrong choices, and now you want some of what was left behind.

It doesn’t work like that,

Your politicos should be inviting a delegation of gcs to share power and have a veto in decision making in the “trunk” and receive 70% share. That is if you are serious about peace, but you don’t want a solution.

you should show everyone for about 10 years as a potential transition period so we can see how it works.
