Ok, here me out you intransigent sods.

Its a winner of an idea.

Everything comes down to money ultimately. Boil it down, and if the UK, Greece and the States stumped up say, 20 billion pounds and offered it to Turkey on a platter in return for Northern Cyp, they'd agree.

So why dont both sides agree to this.
Break down the wall, send the mainlanders packing, re-ignite the old constitution - and turn Kyrenia into a massive Middle Eastern Las Vegas. The proceeds of which go to reparations for both sides and repairing any damage done. Plus increased welfare state for poor TC people in need of a boost.

The State would run the casinos, thus ending the mafia and scum bag element from proceedings, and the resort would take off into the stratosphere attracting people far and wide!

Greece would offer as much as she can... which would be about 10 pounds and 33 cents. But why would UK and USA pay anything? If they wanted Turkey to leave they could have done it for free.

Cyprus government having balls to blast the north? cant see it happening. Unless for some reason, the Turkish economy collapsed, leading to national disaster, the army being disbanded because it couldnt be paid for, rebellion hitting the streets, revolution, the overthrow of Attaturk's legacy, the foundation of a new, all powerful socialist government, coinciding with the supremecy of a new far left wing AKEL party in the south leading to the north being caught off guard in a moment of chivalry, so an attack was left uncountered.
