I never said I was an expert. These are uncharted waters because never before has a parliament gone against the people by ignoring a referendum.

Ok I am going to talk about the 'other clown' in this thread.

Is anyone else increasingly of the opinion that the only 'strategy' Trump has to deal with opposition is to 'double down' ? I mean double down in the gambling sense of a 'strategy' to go in to a casino and put x amount on red on roulette. If it comes up black then you put 2 times x on next time. If it loses again then 4 times X and so and so on. Seems like a great winning strategy at first but as any gambler would tell you it is one that in the long term can only lead to catastrophe ultimately and that the longer it takes to reach catastrophe the greater the degree of catastrophe will be. A week ago I would have put the chances of Trump actually ending up being impeached by both houses and with required super majority at next to zero. The way he has responded to the ukraine / biden / influence incident was straight out of the 'double down gambler strategy' - namely to tell reporters in the white house he thinks China should investigate the Biddens as well and may make such a request formally to China via state department or directly one to one with China's premier. I would put the chance of actual impeachment at nearer 15-20%. This doubling down strategy just can not work long term. The man is heading for a fall and the longer it takes the greater it will be. Or just wishful thinking perhaps ?

The “doubling down” strategy in gambling or in politics only has limited results, that you can only break even in the end after a limited attempts in doubling down, or else you will be wiped out completely at the end of limited attempts. This is why there are “table limits” in gambling on how much you can place a bet so to prevent anyone from doubling down until they win, to which they will break even by doing so eventually. Very similar in politics too.

I believe only 2 POTUSs have been impeached, neither of whom have been removed from office as a result. It seems like long-shot wishful thinking by some.

Meanwhile, his popularity increases further. The more they try, the more people want Trump.

They trust Trump more than all the elites trying to impeach him.
