How much does one normally pay for auto and motorcycle insurance in Cyprus?

Depends on the company, the car/bike you have and you as a driver. Currently I uses gandirect which is the cheapest. I've been with them for 4 years now with no problem at all. They even call me a few times before the contract is over to remind me :)

Thanks Mikros. I'm going to look them up. We're going to need insurance for the motorcycle once we get out there.

I pay £270 fully comp for a car valued at £7000 and £89 third party for a 1200cc bike.

My friend has been paying the same for his car, also £7000, but got a quote yesterday from the Laiki Bank insurance for £205. Sounds good but depends if they are underwriting or just putting it through a broker.
A few years ago the company I was with went bust along with 7 months worth of my insurance, so I don't always take the cheapest quote anymore!

As of last year it's not possible to get full comp on any bike over 600cc.

Thanks Cabbie. The rates seem alright. We have an 800cc bike. I'm going to check out the various companies once we arrive.
