The fires are ferocious right now. The country is literally on fire.
And today, I just lost a good mate (pilot) who was fighting the fires.

...and today is Epiphany, this the day of Light, the most important day of the year to Orthodox Christians because on this day Holy water is blessed, as it was the day that Jesus was baptised. Today is a day of great celebration, it is the beginning anew, the day where truly we were saved. Xrovia Pola, Happy New Year!

That's interesting. I didn't know. I'd always assumed it was just a sort of official end of the Christmas period (and supposedly the day you take your decorations down).
