FWIW, I would have no qualms at all about your buying me an expensive lunch/dinner. Actually, 10 years ago I used to live in that part of the world and know it very well.

It would be a day to remember for sure. I'm always up for a good meal and a good drink, especially if the company is good. So you lived in the west-end? If so the expensive meal is on you Kikapu is very good company and a wealth of knowledge. I can imagine a day with you, Kicks, GR and Lordo, what an amazing day that would be. We have some very intelligent contributors here and I'm always happy to read all your posts and in doing so I feel I'm a better person for it.

LR, you suggested I post. I might just do that but it will be a new thread and an honest one to which I hope I will get honest replies.

GR "disappeared" some time ago. It wasn't the first time but on previous occasions he'd taken a sabbatical he had always announced it. We can only speculate of course but it doesn't look good. I think DT was a friend and might just know what happened.

After a few cancelations to meet for a meal with MR-from-NG over the last two years due to life’s events, we had finally met for a lunch on Tuesday at the Hawksmoor restaurant in London for a lovely meal and drinks. As always, we had a great time discussing many topics of interest which the 3 hours we had set aside for the meal just flew by. I want to thank MR for the wonderful time we had shared together and that we look forward towards our next meeting, hopefully in the near future.
