...a Gunsel; would you buy one?

...assembled in the occupied territories, a private enterprise, and electric; a car in effect that's made in Cyprus.

...they are building toward a capacity of building 20,000 a year, soon; is it viable?

If it's a good deal for the money, reliable and safe ...... why would you not buy one? If you mean because it is of Turkish origin ...... plenty of people bought Volkswagen and Mercedes after WWII!

When Cyprus is liberated, Turkey defeated and split in two, then sure, we will consider it.

...how much will they cost, that is my question; i suppose almost any cost would be worth it to collectors, at its advent.

...wish i knew more about Gunsel, it would be nice if he is just a guy with no political affiliation who is enterprising; while the Press in Turkey made this news, Erdogan et al. were not present at the announcement to share in the glory.

(It would be better still for Cypriots, if as a Cypriot he could Trade; but this won't be happening soon)

...i am cautious wishing him well because it is never "that" simple in Cyprus.

All these so called prototype cars in the north and Turkey are nothing but shells and there are no running cars or planes. There are no tests being done, are actually not road tested, we have zero stats and no independent journals. We have nothing, but yet these makers of these so called prototype cars and planes are crowing with success. Success of what exactly?

Exactly! There is so much more to manufacturing electric cars than just replacing the engine with some batteries. The risk of buying an eCar from a start-up company like this would be much higher than buying a fossil car from another start-up. Why that; because there is no guarantee that their software or odd electrical components will be supported when they go belly-up.

Look to Tesla; they are way in front of any other maker (not saying their lead will not decrease in the coming years). If you want one, buy from then or one of the major Asian players that already have proved that they know what they are dealing with (Nissan, Hyundai, ...)

Dyson gave up trying to build an electric car despite his resources and expertise. The "trnc" may have some sort of prototype but to claim that they will have a production line building thousands of working vehicles is pure fantasy.

In the north they can't even time their April Fools jokes properly.

Well, I have to say they are equally naive.

Having some success with cordless vacuum cleaning, doesn't necessarily mean you can make a car

I am more excited to see this company is making the cut, though

Dyson had a turnover of £4.4 billion in 2018 and 12,000 employees. He's a canny businessman with the ability and resources to build electric cars but realised that there's more profit in concentrating on domestic and small commercial appliances - not just vacuum cleaners.
